The Kirchenwirt Hotel, a house filled with tradition and soul, became ours in 2013 when my husband Aldo Kern and I lovingly took it over from his mother, Renate. It was a meaningful moment for our family – the beginning of a new chapter, placing the legacy of hospitality and warmth into our hands. Together with Aldo, I managed the hotel for over a decade, pouring our hearts into creating a place where our guests could feel at home.

The years flew by, filled with countless encounters, heartfelt moments, and the deep satisfaction of nurturing something precious. Aldo wasn’t just a wonderful husband and father – he was also a visionary host who always had the well-being of our guests at heart. His passion for the hotel was evident in every little detail.

But life had other plans for us. In October 2023, I had to say goodbye to my beloved Aldo, who left us far too soon. His loss has left an unfillable void, both in our family and in the hotel, which remains a symbol of all we built together. Yet, with his memory as my guide and his vision as my compass, I have continued to run the Kirchenwirt Hotel on my own since his passing.

In this challenging time, I am fortunate to have the support of our three wonderful daughters, Roberta, Adriana, and Marcella. Each of them is fully immersed in their own careers, carving their own paths in life, but whenever I need them, they are there for me. Their strength, love, and encouragement give me the courage to carry on and honor the journey Aldo and I started together.

The Kirchenwirt Hotel is more than just a place – it is a home, both for our family and for the many guests who have walked through its doors over the years. With roots deeply anchored in the past and eyes fixed on the future, I continue to lead our hotel forward – for Aldo, for our family, and for all those who have trusted us to create a warm and welcoming space for them.
